Aleksandr Lukashenko extends Border Guard’s Day greetings

Greetings to the command, personnel, veterans of the border service of the Republic of Belarus

Dear friends,

I cordially congratulate you on the Border Guard’s Day.

The borders of our Homeland are a sacred place where the strength of our sovereign state, real ability to ensure its protection and territorial integrity are revealed.

Military glory of border guards was built during the entire history of our country. We will always remember courage and heroism of border guards during the Great Patriotic War and after the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invasion which took place 70 years ago.

I am convinced that the Belarusian border service will successfully protect our borders thanks to professional excellence, selfless service to the Belarusian people.

I am especially grateful to the veterans of border units who dedicated their lives to the protection of the country’s borders.

I wish you every success in your service, strong health and wellbeing.
