Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulates Patriarch Kirill on Sts. Cyril and Methodius' feast day

    President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill on the Sts. Cyril and Methodius' feast day.

    "In this holiday the Church remembers Sts. Cyril and Methodius. Thanks to them, ancient Slavs became part of the Christian civilization and imbibed the highest spiritual and moral ideals," the head of state said.

    "Continuing traditions of renowned enlighteners, you teach people to live in unity, peace and accord, follow moral commandments, laws of truth and humanism. Your eagerness to help every believer realize the great mission of a person, his responsibility for the fate of the country and the future of the civilization deserves respect and support," the message of congratulations runs.
