Aleksandr Lukashenko makes senior military appointments
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has made a number of senior appointments in the Belarusian Armed Forces. The relevant decrees were signed on 21 July.
Major General Aleksandr Mosolov has been appointed Deputy Defense Minister for Logistics - Chief of Logistics of the Belarusian Armed Forces. He previously served as First Deputy Chief of Logistics and Chief of Staff of the Logistics Service of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
Major General Andrei Burdyko has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Defense Minister for Logistics - Chief of Logistics of the Belarusian Armed Forces. He has been discharged from military service into the reserve.
Major General Dmitry Bitny has been appointed Chief of the Main Combat Training Directorate of the Belarusian Armed Forces. He has been relieved of his previous post as Deputy Commander of the Western Operational Command.
Major General Aleksandr Bas has been relieved of his duties as Commander of the Northwestern Operational Command of the Belarusian Armed Forces. He has retired from military service upon reaching the statutory retirement age, with the right to wear his military uniform and insignia.
