On transfer to the reserve and on conscription for active military service, for reserve service

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 247 “On transfer to the reserve and on conscription for active military service, for reserve service” on 22 July.

The document provides for drafting Belarus’ male citizens, who have turned 18 by the draft date and who are not exempt from conscription, as well as citizens of conscription age, who have lost their right to deferment, for active military service, for reserve service in September-November 2026.

The decree provides for transferring to the reserve the active military service personnel, who have completed their mandatory military service.

The adoption of the decree will enable national government bodies, as well as local executive and administrative authorities, to carry out the autumn conscription campaign for compulsory military service and reserve service in a timely manner.
