Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with the well-known athlete, Russian state and political figure Aleksandr Karelin.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of state warmly welcomed the guest, noting his unique achievements in sport: 888 wins in wrestling against only 5 defeats.
"I have been following your new creative projects. Very interesting. How many people are needed to prepare such a project combining history and so on?" the head of state asked.
"It's actually a small group. The main thing is attitude," Aleksandr Karelin replied.
Aleksandr Karelin said that the day before he spent three and a half hours in the Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk. He had a long talk with a docent who is over 70 and who has worked most of her life in the museum. "When you have such people, then you do not need a permanent staff. You just need to find them, give them the opportunity, the voice. And then everything will turn out right," he said.
