Greetings to Belarusian emergency response workers

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the staff and veterans of the Belarusian emergencies bodies and units as the country celebrates Fire Service Day.

“The profession of a firefighter-rescuer is chosen by brave and resolute people. They choose it with their hearts, because this service demands exceptional devotion, extraordinary courage, and involves confronting the elements and being ready at any moment to risk their own lives to save others. It also entails hard daily work and constant grueling training. And, of course, the special brotherhood of firefighters, which is born and strengthened in dangerous, essentially combat, conditions of duty, where one stands for all, and all stand for one,” the head of state said.

The President expressed special gratitude to the veterans, who have instilled in the younger generation a deep respect for the glorious traditions of their predecessors, as well as to those who are currently on the front lines of the fight against the fire element.

“Thank you for your service. May you always be surrounded by the love and warmth of your families and loved ones, as well as the support and gratitude of the people for whom you risk your lives every day,” the message of greetings reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished everyone good health, inexhaustible energy, good luck, fortitude, and continued success in their service for the benefit of the Motherland.
