Aleksandr Lukashenko signs decree to Declare 2026 Year of Belarusian Woman
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed Decree No.1 to declare 2026 the Year of the Belarusian Woman.
The document has been passed for the sake of forming the national image of hardworking women, for the sake of popularizing the role of women in preserving and developing the society.
The government has been instructed to work out and adopt a republican action plan on organizing the Year of the Belarusian Woman in 2026 with assistance of the oblast administrations and the Minsk City Executive Committee. The government will also coordinate efforts of state bodies, other organizations in the course of carrying out this action plan.
The Decree comes into force as soon as it is officially published.
