Working trip to Gomel Oblast: Visit to the Chernobyl-affected regions

On 26 April 2020 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko visited the settlements affected by the Chernobyl accident. During his working trip to Gomel Oblast, the head of state visited Narovlya District and Bragin District. The main focus was on the implementation of the program aimed at mitigating the radiation impact. Aleksandr Lukashenko visited the exclusion zone to take stock of the progress in reforestation works, and also healthcare and education institutions. During the visit, the president met with local residents and took part in a meeting to commemorate the Chernobyl accident victims.
