Official visit to Vietnam

On 23-26 April 1997 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko paid an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Aleksandr Lukashenko held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Le Duc Anh in Hanoi. The meeting resulted in signing an agreement on friendly relations and cooperation between the countries.

The Belarusian head of state visited the official dealer of Minsk Tractor Works and met with representatives of the business community of Vietnam.

During Aleksandr Lukashenko's visit to Vietnam, an agreement was reached to open a Belarusian embassy in this country.
