Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with representatives of Ukrainian mass media on 26 September.
Taking part in the press conference are representatives of the information agencies Ukrinform, Interfax-Ukraine, TV channels Ukraine, 112 Ukraine and 1+1 and the Uryadovy Courier newspaper.
The President’s meeting with the press lasted about three and a half hours. The journalists asked their questions, inquired about the development prospects of the Belarusian-Ukrainian cooperation across the board, Belarus’ role and proposals regarding the regulation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. The President also spoke about Belarus’ home policy priorities, cooperation with key partners, including Russia, the European Union and China. The head of state was also asked to comment on certain events on the global political arena and the maintenance of security in the region.
