Greetings to participants of constitutional development conference

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the international conference on the constitutional development of states.

    “This forum is very important for sharing experience in the protection of constitutional values. Its format helps bolster cooperation and friendly ties between constitutional courts and our countries, what is essential for counteracting global challenges of today,” the message of greetings reads.

    According to the head of state, it is symbolic that the meeting is held in the year when the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and the Constitutional Court mark the 25th anniversary. “The Fundamental Law is the basis for maintaining accord and unity in the society, ensuring political stability and sustainable social and economic development of Belarus,” the President stressed. “The Constitutional Court makes a big contribution to building a democratic socially-oriented legal state, protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens.”

    Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the conference will help produce efficient solutions to improve the forms and methods of constitutional justice.
