Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko presented state awards to the representatives of various professions for the many-year productive work, exemplary fulfillment of service duties, a big personal contribution to the enhancement of Belarus’ international authority, maintenance of legality and public order, attainment of high production results in the light industry and agriculture, achievements in the construction industry, social security, healthcare, science, education and culture. The head of state signed a corresponding decree on 25 March.

    The Order of Honor is conferred on Director General of BelEZ Boris Belkin, head of the Belarusian cultural and education center of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate Alexander Gundar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna, First Deputy Head of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate Nikolai Selivanov.

    Workers of law enforcement and border protection agencies have been awarded medals for excellence in military service, maintenance of public order, and border protection.

    Medals for excellent labor have been bestowed upon 32 people. Among them are spinner of factory No. 3 of Orsha Linen Mill Irina Glebova, head of the pediatric department of the Belarusian center of pediatric pneumology and cystic fibrosis at Minsk city children’s clinical hospital Tatyana Matveyeva, director of the Vidzy State Vocational College Mikhail Smirnov.

    The Medals of Francysk Skaryna have been conferred on Director of the NASB History Institute Vyacheslav Danilovich and Director of the NASB Philosophy Institute Anatoly Lazarevich, Director of Geoinformation Systems Sergei Zolotoy, head of the chair at the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy Vladimir Petrovets.

    In accordance with the decree, the workers of education, medicine, science, culture, construction, agriculture, and the prosecution office have been awarded honorary titles.
