CSTO Collective Security Council session

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in the session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Moscow on 21 December.

The summit focused on the most important issues of international security and possible ways to solve them. The CSTO leaders deemed it necessary to create a broad coalition for the fight against international terrorism in compliance with the UN Charter and the international law, agreed to enhance the defense capacity of the organization.

After the summit the CSTO heads of state passed a statement regarding the prevention of international terrorism. The main priority was the resolute fight against the terrorist group ISIL which has started a bloody war in many countries and poses a threat to the mankind.
