    Aleksandr Lukashenko receives congratulations on his re-election as Belarus’ President.

    President of the People’s Republic of China xi Jinping was the first leader to congratulate the Belarusian head of state. “I am convinced that under your leadership the state construction of Belarus will be even more productive. I pay special attention to the development of China-Belarus relations, value our good business relations and personal friendship,” Xi Jinping stressed.

    The Chinese President assured that he is ready to join efforts to promote China-Belarus relations of all-round strategic partnership to a brand-new level for the benefit of the two nations.

    The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has also congratulated the Belarusian President. In a message of greetings Vladimir Putin stressed that a convincing victory of Aleksandr Lukashenko testifies to his high political authority and the trust of the population, to the active support of the country’s policy aimed at the social and economic development of the country. The President of Russia expressed confidence that Aleksandr Lukashenko’s state activities will help promote Russia-Belarus strategic partnership, enhance the Union State, bolster cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States and other international organizations. Vladimir Putin confirmed his eagerness to continue constructive joint work for the benefit of the fraternal nations of the two countries.

    The Belarusian leader was congratulated by Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. The leader of Azerbaijan expressed confidence that joint efforts of the two leaders will help promote and expand traditionally friendly relations, productive cooperation and multidimensional interaction between Belarus and Azerbaijan.

    The Belarusian head of state also received congratulatory messages from Georgia President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Syria President Bashar al-Assad, Vietnam President Truong Tan Sang.

    The President of Vietnam said that the sides successfully implement top-level agreements, maintain political, economic, trade, cultural, educational, security and military cooperation on the basis of traditional friendship. The signing of the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union opens up new opportunities for more effective development.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko still receives congratulations on re-election as Belarus’ President. He received greetings from Armenia President Serzh Sargsyan, Nicaragua President Daniel Ortega, Serbia President Tomislav Nikolic.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko has received congratulations on the re-election as Belarus’ President from Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro, and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

    In particular, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan’s interest in the development and enhancement of friendly relations between Belarus and Turkmenistan and the peoples of the two countries.

    Mahmoud Abbas said that the relations with Belarus will remain a priority for Palestine. “We will do our best to develop the new phase of relations and penetrate new areas of mutual interest for the benefit of the two nations and countries,” the message of greetings reads.

    India President Pranab Mukherjee, Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Iran President Hassan Rouhani also congratulated Aleksandr Lukashenko on the re-election as Belarus’ President.

    Pranab Mukherjee stressed that India and Belarus are traditionally connected by the close ties of friendship, comprehensive bilateral cooperation and mutual understanding in the international arena. “I am convinced that under your leadership our bilateral relations with Belarus will be increasingly vibrant,” he noted.

    Hassan Rouhani expressed hope that in the next five-year period the sides will join efforts to build up and use the existing potential to enhance cooperation between Iran and Belarus at the bilateral regional and international levels.
