Greetings to Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam as the two countries celebrate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

    “During this period our states have expanded bilateral relations in politics, trade, economy, investment, science, technology, and other fields. Our meeting which took place during my visit to Singapore in March 2013 gave a new impetus to the development of Belarus- Singapore cooperation,” the message of greetings reads.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that by joint efforts the countries will use the unflagging potential of interaction for the benefit of the two nations.

    In a message of greetings addressed to the Belarusian head of state Tony Tan Keng Yam emphasized the warm and friendly nature of interstate relations relying on the close international cooperation. It was noted that Singapore counts on Belarus’ support in the preparation of the free trade zone agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Singapore. It will set the background for advanced cooperation of the two countries.
