Decree signed to raise overtime limit in Belarusian manufacturing sector

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.105 “On overtime and work on days off in industrial organizations” on 21 March.

    The decree has been passed in order to utilize the available manpower with the necessary competences as much as possible for the sake of accomplishing strategic tasks of utmost importance in the manufacturing sector.

    The decree allows raising the limit of overtime and work on days off with approval of the trade union and with consent of the workers to satisfy justified manufacturing and economic needs.

    The increase shall be stipulated by a corporate regulation. The employer shall have to notify the Department for State Labor Inspection of the Labor and Social Protection Ministry, which will constantly monitor the situation.
