Meeting with participants of the final stage of the national contest Teacher of the Year

On 29 September 1995 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with participants of the final stage of the national contest Teacher of the Year. Vladimir Zdanovich, a physics teacher at Drogichin Secondary School No.1, won the contest. The head of state personally congratulated the winner and presented the first prize – a Crystal Crane.

A conversation about the most pressing problems of the education system took place then. In conclusion Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated everyone on Teacher’s Day. He recalled the years he had worked as a teacher and therefore knew about all the problems of the education system firsthand.
