Presentation of state awards

On 28 May 2003 Belarusian head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko presented the State Awards of the Republic of Belarus 2002 to people who made significant contribution to science, technology, culture and art. A total of 55 scholars and specialists making part of 12 scientific and production teams were honored with awards in the science and technology sector. The president also bestowed awards upon 14 writers, artisans and architects.
