Visit to Tajikistan

On 27-28 April 2003 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in a meeting of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community and a session of the Collective Security Council in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.

Top on the agenda of the meeting of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community were key objectives of the Community and integration prospects. Participants of the Collective Security Council session  exchanged views on the regional and international developments and the main tasks of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. They also discussed organizational, financial and legal aspects of the new organization.

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with his Tajikistani counterpart Emomali Rahmon to discuss topical aspects of bilateral cooperation.
