Government commission to oversee admission to Belarusian universities, vocational schools in 2024
A government commission has been set up in Belarus to oversee preparations for and all the stages of the actual admission campaign in 2024, including the centralized exam meant to evaluate aggregate academic achievements of secondary school graduates. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed corresponding decree No.194 on 10 May.
Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko has been appointed the commission’s chairman. The commission includes representatives of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, government agencies, oversight agencies, and public organizations.
The decree’s implementation will allow protecting rights and legal interests of citizens as they seek admission to higher education institutions and vocational education institutions. If necessary, response measures will be taken promptly to rule out legislation violations.
