Telephone conversation between Aleksandr Lukashenko, Nawaz Sharif

    Upon the initiative of the Pakistani side Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on 18 February.

    During the talk the sides discussed the current state of affairs and prospects of bilateral relations, the international agenda.

    They also agreed that Aleksandr Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Pakistan this year. The sides expressed confidence that the forthcoming visit will give a new impetus to the bilateral relations, ensure a breakthrough in cooperation, and help establish closer political, trade and economic ties. Concrete terms of the visit will be harmonized later via diplomatic channels later.

    The Belarusian President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan expressed confidence that the countries will maintain robust cooperation in the economy, politics, social and humanitarian fields.
