Telephone conversations with foreign leaders
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko held a number of telephone talks in the morning of 30 August.
The main topic for discussion was a situation in Afghanistan. The parties discussed consultations on the issues raised at the CSTO meeting in Dushanbe and the development of a common position on Afghanistan.
The Belarusian leader first discussed the topic with the President of Tajikistan and then held a telephone talk with the Russian President. Aleksandr Lukashenko is also expected to speak with his counterpart from Uzbekistan.
