Session to discussion state of affairs in housing construction industry

OAO MAPID, Minsk Housing Construction Company and Effective Industrial Constructions Plant informed Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko about such issues as the insufficient capacity utilization, lack of land plots for the construction of residential housing and put forward the proposals regarding the ways to improve the situation. The proposals were considered at the session held by the head of state with the participation of interested bodies on 4 December.
“Construction companies want to build affordable housing with 5% profitability for those who have money and are on the waiting list at the Minsk City Hall.
The head of state gave an instruction to provide construction sites to construction companies and make sure that they are working at full capacity by 20 December. Aleksandr Lukashenko also suggested compiling the lists of those who want to build such housing together. There can various methods, but the procedure should be open and transparent, he added. As a result, a principled decision was made to improve the situation in the housing construction sector in Minsk.
