Christmas service

On 7 January 2003 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in a Christmas service at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk. The head of state stressed that Christmas unites all believers in pursuance of high spirituality, gives strength, confidence in the triumph of good, peace, harmony, justice and humanity, makes each of us think about our place and purpose in life.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the moral compass of the Belarusian people is based on sacred Christian commandments. They also define the main traits of Belarusians. Belarus, which is a peace-loving Christian country, is open for cooperation, the president stressed.
