Subbotnik on the National Library construction site

On 19 April 2003 the head of state took part in the construction of the lower levels of a new building of the National Library of Belarus during subbotnik, a day of voluntary unpaid work. The President was informed about the construction progress and financing options.

Together with the senior officials of the Belarus President Administration, the Ministry of Culture, the Minsk City Hall, and other organizations, Aleksandr Lukashenko helped to build ground floors of the new building.
