Working trip to Vitebsk Oblast

On 5 July 2000 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in the opening ceremony of the international art festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk.

While in Vitebsk Oblast, Aleksandr Lukashenko opened a restored exposition of Ilya Repin’s Museum Estate in Zdravnevo and visited the Vitebsk Ice Sport Palace. A friendly ice hockey match between the president’s team composed of state figures and athletes and a local team of sport veterans took place. It was dedicated to Independence Day of Belarus.
