Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to Minsk International Book Fair
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent a message of greetings to the participants and guests of the 29th Minsk International Book Fair and the 8th International Symposium of Writers "Writer and Time".
The head of state noted that in the Year of Historical Memory, the forum is held under the general slogan "The River of Time of the Homeland".
“At all times the book has been at the center of culture, an integral part of the history of mankind, its spiritual wealth and heritage. Telling about the events of the past days, passing on knowledge about the centuries-old national traditions, the book teaches us to love our native land and honor the memory of our ancestors. I am convinced that by uniting readers, writers and publishers of different generations through love for the book, we connect the past and the present, anticipate the future," the message reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the art and writing talent of the forum participants should always serve the high ideas of humanism, educate true patriots of the Fatherland, inspire people to do good deeds in the name of peace and life on earth.
"I sincerely wish you happiness, health, goodness, fruitful work and bright, memorable meetings on the Belarusian land," the President stressed.
