President approves report of the National Bank for 2012
On 29 April President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the decree to approve the report of the National Bank for 2012.
The annual report provides for the information regarding the performance of the bank and its financial statements.
The main results of the 2012 monetary policy are a considerable slowdown of inflations, stabilization of the situation on the domestic foreign currency market, stability of the Belarusian ruble exchange rate. The repayment of the external and domestic obligations in foreign currency was time. The volume of foreign exchange reserves was preserved.
In the accounting period the banking sector was stable. As of 1 January 2013 the aggregate registered authorized fund of banks increased by Br2.2 trillion, or 7.9%, to reach Br29.8 trillion.
As of 1 January 2013 assets of the banking sector went up Br61.8 trillion, or 23.8%, to Br321.2 trillion.
