Motorized Rifleman’s Day greetings

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to veteran motorized riflemen, service members of mechanized formations and military units of the Armed Forces of Belarus on their professional holiday, Motorized Rifleman’s Day.

“We bow before the incredible resilience and courage of infantry soldiers during the Great Patriotic War, who brought peace to our people and to the peoples of Europe,” the message of greetings reads. “Today the victorious traditions of the oldest branch of the Armed Forces, the legendary infantry, are sacredly preserved and multiplied by their daily military labor in the mechanized units and subunits of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.”

The methods and forms of conducting combat operations, equipment and armaments are changing, but nothing can replace the high combat training, valor and selflessness of soldiers and commanders, who, as the experience of modern wars shows, decide success on the battlefield, the Belarusian leader said.

“I am convinced that each of you understands this well and will continue to do everything possible to protect the peace and security of our country,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.

The head of state wished the motorized riflemen strong health, peace, goodness and new successes in their military labor for the benefit of Belarus.
