Greetings to Recep Tayyip Erdogan on re-election as President of Turkiye

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election as President of Turkiye.

“The convincing victory in a very difficult campaign, which was watched all over the world, is the highest indicator of the trust of the Turkish people. Important social and political events in Turkiye coincided with severe trials following the natural disaster. However, despite this challenge, you have managed to maintain stability in the society, for which you do your best and more. I consider you a worthy and strong politician and a good friend of Belarus. We have similar interests in de-escalating the international situation, ensuring food security and peaceful resolution of disputes. You can always count on us,” the message of greetings runs.

Aleksandr Lukashenko added that he expected to meet with the Turkish President soon in accordance with the agreements reached in Astana in October 2022.

“I am confident that the relations of trust and mutual respect that have taken shape between Minsk and Ankara over many decades will continue to strengthen for the benefit of our countries and peoples,” the Belarusian leader stressed.

The head of state wished Recep Tayyip Erdogan health, wellbeing and every success in his noble deeds and also peace, stability and prosperity to the friendly Turkish people.
