Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to people of Poland
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended Independence Day greetings to the people of Poland.
“Our shared past is centuries-old common Christian and cultural heritage, wide and friendly contacts between the people of the two countries. We can build the future only by paying attention to historical events and strengthening ties on the principles of partnership and trust,” the message of greetings reads.
The President emphasized that Belarusians respect the choice the citizens of Poland have recently made. “It has vividly demonstrated the desire to stop the senseless search for internal contradictions and external threats. I hope that Warsaw will listen to the voice of its citizens with the call to live in peace and harmony with representatives of all nations and religions, will consider the friendly hand of cooperation extended by Belarus,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The head of state expressed confidence that the best guarantee of security for Poland today is a friendly neighborhood, an end to the unjustified militarization of the country and the arms race. “Only together step by step we will be able to contribute to overcoming confrontation in our region. Belarus is ready for this,” the President emphasized.
The Belarusian leader wished happiness and confidence in the future to all the people of Poland.
