Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Republic Day greetings to Italy
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the people of Italy as the country celebrates Republic Day.
“This year marks the anniversary of the Belarusian-Italian bilateral contacts. Our states celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The ties between the countries have stood the test of time, and today we confidently speak about the strong and sincere friendship between Belarusians and Italians. This unity cannot be destroyed by disingenuous ambitions of politicians and geopolitical confrontation which, unfortunately, has become the most rigid in the recent time,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state thanked the people of Italy for hospitality and warmth with which they had been welcoming children from Belarus for many years, for the great support of Belarus in the difficult time, for their kind hearts and warm feelings.
“I am convinced that in the future in spite of all challenges Belarus and Italy will implement many big mutually beneficial projects in all fields of bilateral cooperation, such as trade, investment, manufacturing, tourism, education and cultural exchange,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
The President wished the people of Italy peace, accord and prosperity.
