Greetings to two-time Olympic champion Ekaterina Karsten

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has wished a happy birthday to two-time Olympic champion, senior coach of the national rowing team Ekaterina Karsten.

“Thanks to the talent, perseverance and hard work a modest girl from a small Belarusian village has become the world rowing legend and has amassed a unique collection of awards, including two Olympic gold medals, within two decades. Besides, you a kind and positive person, a patriot of Belarus and your native land,” the felicitation message reads.

According to the head of state, today the renowned rower shares her knowledge and outstanding experience with young athletes and is doing her best to promote a healthy lifestyle and the Olympic movement.

“I am convinced that you will continue to serve the Republic of Belarus with dignity and will do everything in your power to revive the glorious traditions of the Belarusian rowing,” the President emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Ekaterina Karsten good health, happiness and every success.
