Visit to the Great Patriotic War Museum

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko visited the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History on 8 May 2002, on the eve of Victory Day. The head of state saw the exhibition and storage facilities of the country’s repository of war history items of 1941-1945, and also two other museums located on its grounds - the National Museum of History and Culture of Belarus and the Museum of Nature and Environment of Belarus.

The president gave an instruction to expand the storage facilities and improve the storage conditions of the museum’s holdings. After touring the exhibition, he met with veterans and students of Minsk Suvorov School and took a picture with them.
