Over 428 foreign nationals granted Belarusian citizenship
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 101 “On admission to citizenship of the Republic of Belarus”.
The document has granted the Belarusian citizenship to 428 foreign nationals. Of them 418 are nationals of Ukraine, including 103 minors. Most of them were residents of Donetsk Oblast and Lugansk Oblast. Among them are 40 families.
Since the Big Conversation with the President, a big press conference held on 9 August 2021, 1,494 Ukrainians have received citizenship. In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has granted Belarusian citizenship to 1,579 Ukrainian citizens.
Applications for the Belarusian citizenship, including from citizens of Ukraine, keep coming in.
