Aleksandr Lukashenko signs Decree No. 235 “On additional conditions for building apartment blocks”

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 235 “On additional conditions for building apartment blocks”.

In order to make sure that development companies do their work properly and on time, the decree obliges developers to sign agreements with local authorities on the design and construction of apartment blocks.

These agreements will set forth design, construction and commissioning deadlines, rights and obligations of the parties, procedures for resolving disputes and sanctions for the failure to fulfill obligations by developers.

The template for such agreements will be developed by the Council of Ministers.
