Independence Day celebrations

On 26-27 July 1994 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in festivities to mark Belarus Independence Day. In the evening of 26 July he delivered a speech at a function in the Concert Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. A gala concert capped off the evening festivities. A solemn ceremony to mark the event took place in Victory Square the following day. Wreaths were laid at the monument at the Eternal Flame.
