Meeting with State Control Committee’s Chairman Leonid Anfimov

President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko heard out a report from Chairman of the State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov on 17 November.

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed he was interested in the systemic approach of the State Control Committee to matters, particularly regarding the fulfillment of major instructions given by the President.

The head of state remarked the approach has to be practiced primarily with regard to the modernization of the woodworking industry and the projects involving massive investments. “What is the state of affairs in this regard? What about other modernization projects that the state finances and shoulders the burden by offering guarantees or concrete loans?” asked Aleksandr Lukashenko.

“Ownership and the budget are the cornerstones of control practices in your agency. This is why I’d like to know the current state of affairs. What is the State Control Committee concerned about? Particularly with regard to the budget, how has it been shaping up this year?” Aleksandr Lukashenko wondered.

The President also drew attention to decision implementation practices in the State Control Committee.
