Interview to Russia 1 TV Channel

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko gave an exclusive interview to Sergei Brilyov, the host of Vesti v Subbotu (News on Saturday) program on Russia 1 TV Channel on 12 February.
The interview took place after the Normandy format meeting that was held in Minsk on 11-12 February.
Aleksandr Lukashenko made a brief assessment of the Normandy 4 talks on the regulation of the Ukrainian crisis in Minsk.
“I want you to know, we did not flaunt it, but we have voiced our proposals and our stance on the talks (on the regulation of the crisis in Ukraine), all the participants were aware of it. I am convinced that our stance on Ukraine will be in demand in the near future. Perhaps, it had an influence on the format of the Minsk talks,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said in an interview.
The head of state also answered a number of questions about the prospects of Belarus’ relations with the West, the development of the Eurasian Economic Union.
