International Women’s Day greetings
In the run-up to International Women’s Day, 8 March, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Belarusian women.
On this wonderful spring day we show our respect, gratitude and love to our mothers, grandmothers, wives, daughters, and loved ones. “Thank you for wending your way through life together with us, supporting us with a kind word and wise advice, inspiring us to reach new heights and victories,” the message of greetings from the President reads.
Since ancient times a woman has been the guardian of the hearth. “Today many of you manage to balance family life and career. Please accept my sincere gratitude for your work in such fields as healthcare, education, and public administration, productive work in the manufacturing sector, and impressive achievements in culture and science,” the head of state remarked.
“We appreciate your active participation in the country’s life, an invaluable contribution to bringing up the younger generation, preservation of traditions and moral values,” the message of greetings reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Belarusian women strong heath, happiness, peace, and kindness.
