Greetings to Romania President Klaus Iohannis

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Romania President Klaus Iohannis as the country celebrates National Day.

    “Striving for freedom and independence, Romanian people, just like Belarusians, have gone a long and difficult way. And the most valuable result of it was the formation of a modern sovereign state,” the message of greetings reads.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked that today, when the whole world is facing unprecedented challenges and threats, the main objective is to preserve and multiply this crucial national legacy. “I am convinced that it is possible to overcome all difficulties only through comprehensive dialogue between countries on the principles of good neighborliness and mutual trust. The commitment to these principles in the Belarusian-Romanian contacts will allow utilizing a significant potential of bilateral relations,” the president stressed.

    The head of state reaffirmed Belarus’ interest in the further development of cooperation with Romania across the board and wished Klaus Iohannis strong health and new achievements. He also wished Romanian people peace, accord and wellbeing.
