I extend my warmest greeting to the participants of the 9th Republican Festival of National Cultures.

Over a thousand-year history the Belarusian land, like a loving mother, brought together various peoples who became one big family. Their unity and brotherhood are the secret of power, owing to which our Motherland managed to survive all historical ordeals and became an independent country. Civil peace and accord, rejection of any forms of discrimination and hostility on the basis of ethnicity are the greatest spiritual values of the country.

The Republican Festival of National Cultures makes a profound contribution to the support of peoples living in Belarus. It brings together the inflorescence of talents and gives good mood.

I hope that the festival will continue these traditions, strengthen unity of Belarusians, help them preserve their spiritual uniqueness for the enrichment of the Belarusian culture.
