Dear friends,

Twenty years ago the team of the Republic of Belarus took part in the Winter Olympic Games in Norway’s Lillehammer for the first time. Back then the Belarusian athletes won the first Olympic medals, namely two silver medals.

Sport is a purview of courageous, purposeful and strong-spirited people who can continue glorious traditions and defend the sport reputation of the country with their hard-fought victories.

I am convinced that you are the best representatives of the Belarusian sport who can demonstrate will, mastery and perseverance in fulfilling all goals.

Participation in the Olympic Games is a significant event preceded by hard work and thorough preparations of athletes and specialized organizations. All necessary measures have been taken. Now all of you have to do your best to be a success at the Olympic Games.
