Greetings to Israel President Isaac Herzog

    Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Israel President Isaac Herzog as the country celebrates Independence Day.

    “Seventy-four years ago this solemn date became a crucial stage in the modern history of the Israeli nation. We are proud that Belarusian-born people, including first President of Israel Chaim Weizmann, stood at the foundation and development of your statehood,” the message of greetings reads.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked that Belarusians and Jews have been supporting each other for centuries, even in the face of the hardest ordeals.

    “Today the traditions of mutual support, openness, friendship are the solid foundation of relations between our countries. I am convinced that the constructive dialogue across the board will help promote the wellbeing of our nations,” the President stressed.

    The head of state wished Isaac Herzog good health and every success. He also wished Israeli people happiness and peace.
