Annual Address to Belarusian people and the parliament

On 16 April 2003, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made his annual Address to Belarusian people and the parliament.

The head of state changed the traditional pattern of the Address and began it with the international political agenda. He noted that an objective and balanced analysis and adequate measures are needed to defend and strengthen the position of the state. “A national accord, unity, a shared history will pave the way for effective implementation of the great potential of the Belarusian society and achievement of the common goal -making our home country a better place to live and building a strong and prosperous Belarus,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
