Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards
State decorations of the Republic of Belarus were bestowed upon distinguished Belarusians in recognition of many-year productive work, exemplary fulfillment of service duties and professional excellence, a big personal contribution to the development of the energy system, forestry, housing and utilities industries, healthcare, remarkable achievements in education, art and culture.
The Order of Fatherland 3rd Class was bestowed upon chief of the neurosurgery department of the Neurology and NeurosurgeryCenter of the Healthcare Ministry Arnold Smeyanovich.
The Orders for Service to the Homeland 3rd Class were conferred on colonel of interior service Sergei Protsenko and colonel Igor Fedorov.
Chief master of stage of the Belarusian National Children’s Theater Boris Borisenok and First Deputy Principal of the A.A.Kuleshov Mogilev State University Mikhail Vishnevsky received the Order of Francysk Skaryna.
Medals for excellent labor were presented to 35 people.
Department chief and deputy director for scientific work of the Presidential Library of the Republic of Belarus Valentina Afanasenko and Lyudmila Naumova were awarded medals of Francysk Skaryna. The same medals were bestowed upon drawing artist Vladimir Vasyuk, artist Taras Porozhnyak, member of the Belarusian Union of Composers Grigory Surus, director of the Postavy children art school Anatoly Sobol, artist of the Academic Song and Dance Company of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus Anna Stepankova. The medals of Francysk Skaryna were also presented to physics teacher of Minsk gymnasium No. 29 Gennady Kembrovsky, head of the gastroenterology and threpsology chair of BelMAPO Yuri Marakhovsky, dean of the physics and mathematics department of the A.A.Kuleshov Mogilev State University Leonid Starovoitov, assistant professor of the sculpture chair of the Belarusian State Arts Academy Alexander Finsky.
The Honored Artist of Belarus title was conferred on conductor of the Belye Rosy dance, music and song company Alexander Avrukevich, chief master of stage of the Brest Puppet Theater Ivan Gerasevich, chief master of stage of the Cinema Actor’s Theater Studio of the Belarusfilm National Film Studio Alexander Kashperovich.
The Honored Figure of Arts of Belarus title was bestowed upon painter Valery Shkarubo. The Honored Figure of Culture of Belarus title was presented to director of the Rovesnik dance company Tatyana Semchenko.
The Honored Teacher of Belarus title was bestowed upon Director of Minsk gymnasium No. 22 Larisa Adashkevich. The honored Worker of education of Belarus title was conferred on head of the accounting, analysis and audit chair of the Belarusian State Economic University Pelageya Papkovskaya and head of the Belarusian language chair of the A.A.Kuleshov Mogilev State University Vasily Rogovtsov.
The Honored Worker of the Forestry Industry of Belarus title was bestowed upon Director General of the Gomel State Industrial Association of the Forestry Industry Mikhail Suprun. The Honored Telecom Specialist of Belarus title was presented to Director General of Beltelecom Company Sergei Popkov.
