Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards
On 16 January Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decrees concerning state decorations and the executive order on awarding official letters of thanks of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
The Order of Homeland 3rd Class, the Order for Service to the Homeland” 3rd Class, medals for courage, for excellent service, for excellence in protecting public order 1st, 2nd and 3rd class were bestowed upon workers of the Interior Ministry, the Emergencies Ministry, the Defense Ministry, the State Border Committee and the Investigation Committee.
The medal for excellent service 1st class was conferred on Aleksei Yesipovich, deputy head of the state aviation emergency and rescue company Aviatsiya of the Emergencies Ministry, Vasily Chekan, head of the Vitebsk Oblast department of the Emergencies Ministry.
The medal for professional excellence was bestowed upon chief doctor of the Kirovsk central district hospital Yelena Krutko, head of the information service department of the National Library Tatyana Yerokho, head of the maintenance department of Gomeltransneft Druzhba Company Mikhail Sementsov.
The medal of Francysk Skaryna was conferred on deputy head of the Mogilev State College of Arts Valentina Kondratyeva, head of the neurology department of the national science and research center for neurology and neurosurgery Sergei Likhachev, artist of the Maxim Gorky National Academic Drama Theater Veronika Plyashkevich.
The Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus title was bestowed upon chief master of stage of the Maxim Gorky National Academic Drama Theater Oksana Lesnaya. The Honored Figure of Arts of the Republic of Belarus title was presented to lecturer of the national college of the Belarusian State Music Academy Eduard Kuchinsky. Director of the National Library Roman Matulsky and bibliographer of the National Library Tatyana Roshchina were decorated with the Honored Figure of Culture of the Republic of Belarus title. Anton Novik, associate professor of the professional and applied physical education department of the Interior Ministry Academy, was awarded the Honored Worker of Physical Education and Sport of the Republic of Belarus title.
The official letters of thanks of the President were given to head of the Bobruisk interregional inspection of flora and fauna protection Valery Glushko, state inspector of the Pinsk interregional inspection of flora and fauna protection Vadim Supronenko.
The official letter of thanks of the President was sent to editor-in-chief of The Belorusskaya Niva newspaper Anzhelika Milto.
