Condolences to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed condolences to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

    “On behalf of the Belarusian people and myself I express sincere condolences to you, your family and all people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland over the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,” the Belarusian head of state said. “The renowned statesman, the author of numerous public initiatives, Prince Philip made a big contribution to the strengthening of the United Kingdom. Being active till the very last day, he dedicated his life to good deeds and service to people, he also gave infinite support to his country.”

    According to the President of Belarus, it is particularly painful when veterans pass away. “Prince Philip displayed exceptional courage and bravery during World War II. We hail the deeds of His Royal Highness in the fight against fascism,” the message of condolences reads.

    “I share your grief and hope that the people of the United Kingdom will have forbearance and courage to absorb this irretrievable loss,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
