Commentary to Ordinance No. 3 and Decree No. 272 of 18 July 2016
The legislation concerning the state regulation of the
stock market and insurance activities is improved in Belarus. This is envisaged
in Ordinance No. 3 and Decree No. 272 which were singed by Belarus President
Aleksandr Lukashenko on 18 July.
These legal acts include a list of conditions for freezing deals with securities, enabling the state regulator to get information from the register of pawned movable property. Besides, depositories will have to provide confidential information about depositors to the central securities depository of Belarus.
As for the state regulation of insurance activities, it is envisaged that insurance companies have to prepare three-year business plans and organize the system of internal control.
The Finance Ministry will supervise insurance activities in the country.
