Commentary to Decree No. 549 of 5 December 2013

    The Businessman of the Year 2012 winners have been named in Belarus. President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the relevant decree No549 on 5 December.

    The contest was held in 16 nominations and was divided into two stages (regional and nationwide).

    The joint Belarusian-Polish company Kamaka Plus won in the nomination Food Producer of the Year. M8 City Company was named the best industrial producer.

    Game Stream was named the best IT enterpriser. Spetsorgstroy was hailed the best in the construction sector, while Oriflame Cosmetics – in retail trade.

    The best business in public catering title went to Pukhovichitorg Company.

    BelAseptika was named the best operating company in the medical and pharmaceutical industry, the private company Automated Tourism Technologies – in the tourism and hospitality sector.

    Mantrans Company was named the best in transportation services. The foreign private firm MultiMotors was hailed in the sector of consumer services. Tsnyanskye Ecoproducts was named the best farm.

    The Gomel Oblast Information Center was named the best business support infrastructure. Mempex Company was praised as the best innovation business.
    The best among foreign-funded companies was the R&D complex Eco-Les-O. LLK Naftan became the exporter of the year.

    Alcopack was named the best in creating new jobs.

    The award ceremony will be conducted by Belarusian Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich.

    According to the press service, the contest is aimed at the popularization of entrepreneurship, enhancement of business activity and business professionalism.
